Execute Smarter: How Executagility®, AI, and human ingenuity will redefine growth work

©2025 by Andrea S. Jones

Execution has always been the quiet crisis of business growth.

Companies know what they want to achieve, yet their biggest barrier isn’t strategy, it’s consistent follow-through. Loss of competitive advantage happens between ambiguous expectations, unclear handoffs, and forgotten priorities. That’s why we built the Executagility® Model: to make the ability to execute your growth plans a measurable, improvable skill.

But the next evolution of execution is already here.  Artificial intelligence is here and advancing exponentially. The future belongs to organizations that learn to execute smarter: combining AI precision with human discernment and connection.

Early technology adopters are already integrating AI note takers and LLMs. Experts are cloning their knowledge into digital advisors like Delphi, which can provide on-demand expertise. My own Delphi clone, fully trained on the Executagility Model®, is already available for anyone who wants to learn.

Project Managers can leverage these tools too. A unified AI notetaker such as Fathom can store every team meeting in one location, analyze patterns across conversations, and predict roadblocks based on your 15-minute standups, bi-weekly reviews, and retrospectives. As teams learn, their shared knowledge compounds into organizational capability. Even in-person discussions can be recorded through smart tools like an OWL or Granola, creating a searchable memory for the company.

Meanwhile, tech-savvy organizations are already experimenting with AI Agents. My company is exploring an AI Executagility® Project Manager avatar that could attend meetings, appear human on screen, and perform logistical tasks through the Executagility Model®. Soon, these digital PMs will populate action lists, follow up with reminders, flag risks, and generate dashboards, reports, and even short video updates.

When that happens, human project managers will shift their focus to what only humans can do—Change Management.

Humans are Motivated by Other Humans.

The availability of AI technology will drastically outpace the human brain’s ability to absorb change. And most people don’t want to be told what to do by an artificial “robot.”

That’s where the Glue Person shines. These servant leaders already understand how to bring others along. As workflows and routines evolve, Glue People will become the human interface of transformation, helping their teams understand why change matters, addressing questions with empathy, and ensuring everyone feels confident in their new roles.

Glue people as Change Managers will make sure everyone’s training is adequate, and importantly – help their fellow team members be confident that their human brains will be valuable in a tech-enabled world. They’ll help their peers upskill and shift from scarcity thinking to an abundance mindset.

From Managers to Producers.

As AI becomes more agentic, “task rabbit” Subject Matter Experts will multiply. Humans will increasingly collaborate with AI to imagineer and sequence new goals, while the AI executes the heavy lifting. Smaller, faster teams will operate like studios—co-creating with digital copilots that learn from every iteration.

Eventually, AI agents will take on most day-to-day tasks in most organizations, minimizing even the need for traditional change management. Human value will concentrate where it matters most—in relationships. Sales, service, and customer partnerships will become deeply human, powered by empathy, creativity, and trust. The exchange of goods, products, and services will be automated and the Humanity Effect, our ability to connect, reassure, and inspire,  will become an organization’s true differentiator.

Glue People will be needed more than ever.

In this future the GLUE person’s attributes: typically humble, optimistic, and interested in service to others, will be even more prized. They’ll accelerate the potential of growth-minded companies far beyond what we can imagine today. Everyone loves working with a Glue Person. If you have one, help them stick with you. Execution isn’t getting harder. It’s getting smarter.
